It wouldn’t take much to convince me that these chocolate covered peanut butter cookies were awesome, I’m a huge fan of peanut butter cookies and who doesn’t like chocolate. The fact that they are made in the shape of button in tribute to Neil Gaiman’s novel Coraline is just a bonus.

The Angels Ate the TARDIS (Cookies) + Bonus TARDIS Apron

February 16th, 2012 No comments

Darla from Bakingdom made these cookies for a Dr. Who party she was hosting, but she also makes custom TARDIS Aprons like the one below. She has two on her Etsy shop which are reserved for people, I assume you have to commission one from her in order to get one.

Shortbread Scrabble Cookies

February 3rd, 2012 No comments

Okay so they are technically Shortbread Valentine Cookies but I refuse to acknowledge the fact that something so cool could be limited to such a rubbish Hallmark Holiday. All you need to do is get someone to bake 98 of these and you could play and actual game of Scrabble. It might work better if you made them bite size rather than full size cookies….

In fact if you also had a set of scrabble letters you could then replace the cookies with real Scrabble letters on the board and eat the cookies you made a word with…

Actually I’m thinking scrabble shot glasses with a number of shots equal to the point value of the letter. Make a word and you have to drink it! I’m not sure how double/triple scores would work  though but it would certainly even the playing field…

Pac-Man Dumplings

February 3rd, 2012 No comments

YoSushi’s twitter feed linked to this yesterday with the title “Pac-Man Sushi” or rather they didn’t link to this article they linked to an image of this image, I did the grunt work to find the source, and as I expected it’s not sushi they are Chinese Dumplings… From the article:

Pac-Man Shrimp Dumplings are served at Red Farm, a Chinese restaurant in New York City, in this Dec. 13, 2011 photo.

They do look tasty though…

I eat 3 times a day at least, I don’t work out 3 times a day, but I could! Knife and fork apparently each weigh in at 2 pounds and the spoon is a slightly meatier 4 pounds.

I don’t possibly see how getting these would not improve my life 100 fold, apart from them costing $160 for a set that is…

Forbidden Fruit.

I’m sure I was having a conversation about Ortolan a couple of days ago, this is weird a list of foods that are illegal around the world, I knew that Haggis was hard to get a hold of in the States… But Illegal? Thats crazy…

Cook a Turkey In 30 Seconds Using Thermite

November 25th, 2010 No comments

This is awesome! It takes me about 3 hours to cook a turkey, these guys manage to cook one in about 30 seconds by stuffing is with thermite.

I seriously hope that missAmerica_ doesn’t decide to cook her turkey this way for her thanksgiving meal on tomorrow… If she does I hope she lets me video tape it…
