Remember that “guineapigosaurus” costume I posted a couple of years ago? No? Go check it out… Anyway I’m sure a lot of people with tortoises/turtles were really jealous that they couldn’t make their reptilian friends look just as adorable.
Lets forget for a moment that there is already a Pokemon Card game, Reddit user cameronc65 uploaded this set of Pokemon Magic the Gathering Cards that his cousin has been working on. It’s pretty cool, not particularly balanced but cool none the less.
But wait there’s more! In the comments another Redditor (teenelmo26) also shared his set of Pokemon Magic the Gathering cards. There’s three generations of the damn things!
What’s pretty cool about this set is that he’s put in the trainers too. Although I would have treated the trainers as analogous to Planeswalkers rather than as creatures.
You can see them all (Or at least most of them I may have cocked up the WordPress Gallery while writing this post so some of them might not be there) after the break.
Words cannot describe how much I wish I had $280 to throw at E-Bay to buy one of these…. Looking at the photo’s on Laughing Squid there are several variants of this the one in the video on Laughing squid is a much smaller version with slightly rubbish looking feet and the one below seems to have stuffed feed and tummy things (What are those things meant to be on Totoro’s tummy?)
If you are crazy enough to buy a Totoro sleeping bag/bed then you are probably crazy enough to want these Soot Sprite (Susuwatari) slippers too!
This Christmas Tree ornament is possibly one of the oddest gifts one could give somone. On the one hand you are essentially giving somone a lump of coal, which is a big Christmas no no, on the other you are giving them one og the cutest things in the world!
They are available to pre-order from Steff Bomb on Etsy and cost just $15 (£9.70) + shipping.
This year, I really wanted to make Yuki’s costume, but we could not decide for a long time what she should be. We threw around some ideas, but none of them really excited me. I’ve had this idea of dressing Yuki up as Totoro for a long time (since she was born?), but was worried that no one would know what she was. But since I couldn’t think of anything better, I decided to go for it. So what if I would have to explain a hundred times who she was supposed to be! At least she would be adorable and original . . . right?
There are more pictures on that blog as well as a tutorial on how to make the leaf and whiskers.
