STAR WARS Valentine's Day Card featuring Lando Calrissian

God that is a horrible pun… Also doesn’t the verb to “Lando” imply betrayal?

I’m on my iPad so I can’t chase up the attribution for this image properly at the moment… Its by Aaron Williams of Do Gooder Press. I looked there and he has a bunch of we comics one of which I assume this was published on.

I saw this days ago now I feel like it’s old news as it was posted on BoingBoing this morning :(

Why am I too busy to actually write all the blog posts I want to?

In other news I’ve been meaning to read the comic for a while because having seen and really enjoyed the movie I felt it deserved a look see. I really didn’t like the comic, that also saddens me…

Life Size Stormtrooper Cake!

January 18th, 2012 No comments

If there is one thing I appreciate it’s cake, and this epic 6 foot 4 inches Stormtrooper cake is… Well, epic to say the least. I was made by the cake artisans at Oak Leaf Cakes for  the Arisia Sci-Fi Convention in Boston, MA.

No more cake posts today I promise… Unless I see something really good…

Skevader! Ultimate Villain!

January 4th, 2012 No comments

You may have noticed I’m clearing out my backlog of draft posts… I’ll let the guy who created this awesome Skeletor/Darth Vader bust put it into context:

by Ryan Renders

“I was picked to create a custom Darth Vader helmet by Halloweencostumes.com and I decided to turn my full size replica helmet into a bust of Skeletor. As I was creating this colossal custom I decided to Incorporated a few more elements into the piece that would represent Vader. So I created the sword of power but used Vader’s light saber for the handle and I Incorporated the Empire logo into his chest armor.”

Oddly (and I’m not sure whether or not I’ve said this here before) I got a bit confused when I was a kid and was convinced that Skeletor was really He-Man’s father…

Chocolate Han Solo in Carbonite

Star Wars Han Solo Carbonite Chocolate 1

This is an idea I could really Get behind if it weren’t for the fact that it’s dark chocolate… I hate dark chocolate, it actually makes me gag…

Star Wars Han Solo Carbonite Chocolate 2 Star Wars Han Solo Carbonite Chocolate 3

Also because it’s on ThinkGeek I’d have to pay twice again the cost of the chocolate bar to get it sent to the UK… I really wish ThinkGeek had a UK store… I think my bank balance is glad they don’t though.

The alternative is of course to get a silicone Han Solo in Carbonite Ice Tray and roll your own Han Solo in Chocolate Carbonite, then you could use Milk chocolate and it wouldn’t taste rancid… You could even make chocolate R2D2s MMMMMM chocolate droids!
