Truth In Advertising

These made me chuckle, and I can see the truth in most of them. They are by someone called Matt Stevenson but I can’t find any link to lead you to him.

Big Daddy Linkio

DST - Big Daddy Linkio

The above image was created PeekaBooPeeper as part of an art project to create a super hero in a digital storytelling class:

We had to make up a super hero in my digital storytelling class and because we had free range, I decided it would be fun to combine three of my favorite gaming characters into one…had to make up a silly story about the freak accident that brought “Big Daddy Linkio” (Big Daddy+Mario+Link) into existence, describe his traits, powers, and so on…emphasis was story telling but gave me a great excuse to indulge in a completely ridiculous looking character…

Mandie Manzano Disney Stained Glass

Found this lovely stained Glass image by Mandy Manzano featuring a whole bunch of Disney characters. Her Facebook page has more of her work including a preview of another unfinished Disney Stained glass image below:

She doesn’t just do Disney though look at her Facebook page there is even a shop you can buy stuff from.

Mahmud A. Asrar: Steampunk and other stuff…

Steam Punk Super Girl

Given half a chance I’d blog everything I’ve seen by comic book artist Mahmud A Asrar , I went through his deviant artist gallery and… Well yeah… He is as far as I can tell an artist working for DC comics probably on Super Girl given she takes up most of his gallery. Here are some steam punk images and some other random tid bits, I’d recommend looking at his gallery if you like there is a lot more wher that came from.

Book Tub!

book tub.
I like reading in the bathtub as much as the next literate person, but lets be realistic here, you are going to have one leaky bath tub if you make it out of books… I have no source for this image, and I guess if you lined the inside with a clear layer of plastic it could be pretty cool, but I’m going to assume that this is some kind of art project and not a functioning bath tub, which is a shame I really would like a bathtub made out of books…

Song of Ice and Fire Water Colour Portraits With Bonus Disney Princesses!

Ygritte

I don’t blog enough stuff about a A Song of Ice and Fire, so when I saw these water colours linked to from a friends Tumblr (Caution I think it plays loud music) I had to blog them. Plus when I went to daenerys-mod’s page on deviant art I found Disney Princess art which I think I blog whenever I see just because I think it’s funny that I blog about Disney Princesses…

This stuff is beautiful, I’d quite happily order prints to put up on my wall. One thing that struck me as sad though is that she has Twilight fan art in her portfolio. Sad Times…

Disturbing “Descent” Cake

This cake by Fire and Icing (I love that name) is based on the painting “Descent” by Ray Ceaser having seen the painting it’s fairly accurate. Though I’m not sure I’d want to eat such a disturbing and beautiful cake.

There is a gallery of more photo’s of the cake on Flickr.

Kids And Video Games

I can’t find the context for these images by Boneface (Website / Blog) apart from the obvious link to the blog Gaming with Children.

They look interesting though… I guess they are justifying children playing games as a release rather than as a cause of antisocial behaviour.

Disenchanted Disney

I’d only continue reading if you want your child hood to be tainted… These images by Mexican artist Rodolfo Loaisa (Link to complete Flickr Set) portray the Disney characters you have grown to love in a less than flattering light…
