Zig Zag: Weird Canadian Kids TV Show From 1986

I was looking for a different TV show called Zig Zag from the 80’s and stumbled onto this. It’s down right disturbing.

I think it’s a shame that in today’s over sanitized world of kids TV shows a show like this could never be made. I mean the guy is coming up with rock star names for himself and comes up with “Bobby Bakayaro” if you’ve every watched any Anime or Japanese movies that surname is going to sound a little familiar…

Incidentally this is the show that I was actually looking for:

Awesome “Quadtych” Tree Painting

48x24 Original Modern Abstract Heavy Texture Impasto Acrylic Painting Landscape Tree Wall Decor "365 Days of Happiness"

I love this image of a tree by QiQiGallery available on Etsy, it’s labeled as a modern abstract but I like to think that each panel represents a season, I don’t know if that was the intention. You can buy this for $365 US + shipping from Canada. If you like what you see the same gallery has a number of other paintings in a similar style.

I searched for a word for the equivalent of a triptych but with four images the best I could come up with was “Quiptych” or “Quadtych” there appear to be Flickr groups for both…

Make Yourself Look Like a Cyber Punk/Goth God!

Exo-Boots - Hydraulic Armour for Boots

I found a listing for these boot covers (no you will have to buy your own boots) on Etsy, the same shop sells a shmorgasport of other cyber goth things including these wings which I think I’ve featured here before:

Powered Mechanical Wings - Version 1.5 with LED Light Effects

The boot Armour will set you back about £300 + shipping from Canukistan (Canada). They also sell glowy gauntlets and a really odd looking neck brace…

Bionic Concepts - Cybertech Costume Flight Gear

The Pedobear Hoodie

I laughed my guts out when I saw this hoodie from Canada Cosplay, then I balked at the price… $175 Canadian! That’s mental! If you don’t know what Pedobear is then you can read about it on Wikipedia.

The shop also sells a Unicorn Hoodie:

And a Nyan Cat Scarf. I have to admit I kind of want the Nyan Cat scarf… It’s only $40 Canadian which is about £30 + P&P

Awesome Use of Negative Space

This is a “billboard” that was erected by the US Government on near the Canadian border. They got Annie Han and Daniel Mihalyo of Lead Pencil Studio to design this sculpture entitled Non-Sign II.

It’s funded by the U.S. goventments Art in Architecture program.
