What do you do when you oreder fabric to make a Marie Antoinette dress but you get the wrong colour? Particularly if that colour happens to be TARDIS blue? I don’t follow the cosplay scene but apparently Kelldar is a big name in it. She’s made a lovely TARDIS/Marie Antoinette crossover dress, you can even see inside the TARDIS!
Here it is again with a guy in a TARDIS suit photo bombing her:
In the cool but pointless category, Brazilian retailer C&A (Is that the same C&A that used to exist in the UK?) has started displaying the number of likes items of clothing have received on their Facebook page. I was lead to believe that Facebook wasn’t very big in Brazil and they all use Orkut but that’s besides the point.
As the venture beat article points out online shopping is usually based on the images, and pictures don’t tell you how well made an item is or how the fabric feels. Something that looks really nice can feel like it’s made from camel testicles.

Erin from A Dress A Day posted this dress she made in 2009 and I’ve only just stumbled onto it. She made it herself but the fabric is available at Spoon Flower if you want to make something similar yourself assuming you are that way inclined.
