I’ve not had a chance to download and play this but I love that it exists. In a world where companies like Square are shutting down ChronoTrigger remakes, it’s nice to see that Capcom have actually given their blessing to this game.
It’s MegaMan but each of the themed levels is based on a Character from the Street Fighter series of games, you fight your way through their respective levels then fight a MegaMan version of them and take their special power.
Perspective is very high concept mixing 2D and 3D gaming by the looks of things seamlessly. Think Echochrome meets Portal. You move about a 2D character who looks suspiciously like MegaMan and jump from platform to platform when you get stuck you pause the game and move the camera about like a 3D first person shooter.
It needs a little polish but it’s still quite cool, considering it’s created as a student project by someone at the Digipen Institute, the game isn’t available to download just yet but you can follow the game’s development by visiting the Perspective Facebook page.
This hat is available by BeeBeeKins on Etsy, it reminds me a little of MegaMan Helmets I posted a while back, but it’s by someone completely different, and while MegaMan is cool Optimus Prime is awesome!
You can’t get the Pipe Mug (above) any more because it’s sold out but you can get this MegaMan E-Mug (below) for $32 from Fan Gamer. As you can see from the video at the bottom of this post the E-Mug is nigh on indestructible.
The video games industry is filled with male role models, not too many female protagonists, sure we get the odd Lara Croft or Ms. PacMan but on the whole girls seem to be more like princess peach or Zelda, a plot device or the reason the male character is out stomping mushrooms or killing baddies.
While this series by artist Marques Cannon does a little towards changing that it hard not to notice the focus on tits an ass in the series. Still they are pretty cool, by why does every woman in video games have to be half naked?
