It’s the Staplers we should have been watching…
I was quite impressed when I saw this Globe shaped Liquor Dispenstor especially as it’s only $40, then I had a look at the other stuff they sell on this website, it’s a world of drinking paraphernalia, if only I drank…
Keeping witht he theme though they also have some magnificent replica Globe shaped bars and drink trolleys, I thought these kind of things only existed in movies:
It almost seems like the dust hasn’t settled on the last Carrie remake (The Rage). Now I learn that they are making another one. I didn’t think much of this until I found out that Chloe Grace Moretz is the actress who played Hit-Girl in Kick Ass. I’m terrible at remembering the names of actors and hardly ever pay attention to them, but she did a fairly good job in Kick Ass and she’ll have 3 years of maturity to add to the part.
It could be good. To be honest so long as it has the phrase “They’re all going to laugh at you” in the script I’ll be happy…
This series of images turns Watson’s search for Sherlock into a children’s book.
I’ve seen this several times before but my Dad just emailed it to me and I thought I’d share it in case anyone hadn’t seen it. The website for Fukitol lists many details about this wonder drug such as the side effects:
New prescribers should be aware that during treatment 99.2% of patients experienced some combination of the following side affects:
Uncontrollable laughter, occasionally resulting in slightly wetted pants
Hallucinations with vivid colors and occasionally talking animals
Dramatic increases in attention from the opposite sex
Frequent spontaneous sexual arousal
Penis or Breast enlargement
Random Travel Hair re-growth
No patients stopped taking FUKITOL due to these side effects.
On a completely separate note if you use Zemanta for content recommendations the text for this post results in some disturbing image suggestions… But it also suggests I add this:
I love this image of a tree by QiQiGallery available on Etsy, it’s labeled as a modern abstract but I like to think that each panel represents a season, I don’t know if that was the intention. You can buy this for $365 US + shipping from Canada. If you like what you see the same gallery has a number of other paintings in a similar style.
I searched for a word for the equivalent of a triptych but with four images the best I could come up with was “Quiptych” or “Quadtych” there appear to be Flickr groups for both…
Apparently in Japan they advertise for recruits to the Special Defense Force (Japan aren’t allowed to have a military due to a clause that was added to their constitution after WWII) using manga. Look at how cute that girl is, she is missing her boyfriend who is away helping people for his country. The above image is from the 2012 campaign below are the 2011 and 2010 posters.
UPDATE (27-06-2012 or 06-27-2012 depending on which side of the Atlantic you happen to be on): This has recently been posted on GameFAQs and someone there pointed out that there is a Instrubtable giving you the parts list for this. I’ve also blogged about that.
If you wanted to condense my childhood toys into a single artefact you’d struggle to beat this creation by Julius of MocPages. It’s a Nintendo GameBoy made out of Lego that is also a Transformer! Based roughly on Sound Wave the detail on this piece is immense, the the batteries turn into his guns, and the Tetris Cartridge actually transforms into something that looks an aweful lot like Lazer Beak.
What’s more it’s not his only Nintendo Transformer made out of Lego, he’s also made a Nintendo Light Gun Transformer entitled PlasmaShock this looks like it’s based on the Decepticon Jet toys (Why not Megatron?):
