This tickled my fancy, I saw a rant the other day about the number of people proclaiming they “Fucking Love Science” when what they really like is catchy quoted by Neil Degrasse Tyson, and atheist views. That isn’t science, science is working hard to gather data to prove something.
I love linguistics and I love learning about different writing systems, Ryan Estrada has put together a webcomic that teaches you how to read Korean, it’s actually quite simple, unlike Chinese or Japanese Kanji, where the character has next to no relation to the sound; Korean characters are actually logically made up of sounds. You just need to know how to read the different sub characters and put it all together. Have a look:

Cats seem magnetically attracted to keyboards, and once then are on them they seem to have a magical ability to mess things up. When we first got the kittens Tiffin managed to walk over Annabel’s laptop and change the screen orientation so it was upside down. I’d assumed that he’d pressed Ctrl-Alt-Down but apparently that didn’t do anything to the laptop. It took me 15 minutes to find the setting in Windows 7 that changes the screen orientation…
