Why Everyone’s So Scared of “Fake Geek Girls”

I’m not sure I like the whole fake geek girl thing? Just because you aren’t an obsessive geek doesn’t mean you can’t like the odd fandom, or even wear a Superman or Wonder Woman T-Shirt/Belt/whatever because you like the design.

Why are people threatened by people encroaching on their territory? It doesn’t make any sense. Or at least it didn’t before I read this.

Beware Fake Geek Girls…

Captain America Shield Bag + Super Hero Swim Suits

Captain America, shield round bag, purse with adjustable strap, costume, cosplay, Marvel comics

If this Captain America doesn’t make feel patriotic then you probably aren’t American (I’m not and it doesn’t make me feel patriotic, that is all the evidence I have to go on). I imagine women going out and fighting crime with this thing… I wonder if it comes back to you if you throw it…

If that’s not your cup of tea how about these super hero inspired swim suits by Splish?

There’s even ones for the Guys!

I very much doubt that they are officially licensed as the Aquaman trunks are labeled as being “Fish Dude”… The Wonder Woman suit is “Awesome Girl” Captain America is “Big Star” and the Aquaman womans swimsuit is “Fishchick” They range in price from $29.95 for the trunks to $49.95 for the swimsuits.

Geek Icons on Pulp Novel Covers

These images by Tony Fleecs depict famous Geek Icons on the cover of pulp novels, A host of characters including Emma Frost, Batgirl, Harly Quin, Mary Jane, Padme, Princess Leia, Princess Peach, Rogue, Gambit, Super Girl, and Wonder Woman  all grace these covers. Also scroll to the bottom for a sad little bonus image I found on his Deviant Art profile…

I didn’t think this scene from Transformers the movie could be more sad but somehow with the cuteness added it’s even sadder…

The Above R2D2 Apron is just one of many Geeky Aprons available to buy at Haute Mess’ Etsy Store you can also get Darth Vader, Harry Potter and Wonder Woman Themed ones. I’m not sure if the intent is for them to be used on a daily basis though, they do mention cooking a cleaning in them but the emphasis seems to be on photo shoots and entertaining whilst wearing them, here are a few more samples:

Mashed Up Marvel/DC Heroes and Villains

It took some crazy Google-fu to find the source of these images by Deviant Art user ~nomorepalo.

The above image is a mash up of the Avengers and the Justice League:

PRESENTING: The Avenging League of America!

Starring: (left to right)

Speederman (flash/spiderman) – 22 years old Peter Pecker was bitten by a lightning charged super spider giving him the ability to do spider stuffs… quickly….

Iron Bat (Ironman/Batman) – Multimillionaire superhero by day and super gigolo at night (hence the name Iron Bat). Bruise Vain gets all the bad guys and all the ladies.

Asgardian Chick (Thor/Hawkgirl) – a valkyrie who was exiled from Asgard for being too slutty. She can do wonders with her “hammer-shaped mace”.

Captainman (Cap. America/Superman) – a super powered kryptonian who was injected with super soldier serum. Now he has the power of a super-powered kryptonian and a super-powered human.

She-Woman (She-Hulk/Wonder Woman) – an amazon princess who was exposed to gamma radiation giving her hulk-like appearance…

And below some Villainous Mashups, while I think the pairing are spot on for the heros I’m not sure about all the villains:

PRESENTING! The Super Enemies of America!

Starring: (left to right)

The Anonymous (Chameleon/Riddler) – A notorious internet terrorist, The Anonymous spams innocent people’s emails with irritating riddles.

50/50 (Venom/Two-Face) – 50% fag, 50% evil alien symbiote for a total of 100% irritation.

Uberweight (Kingpin/Bane) – A crime lord/luchador… he’s not special… He is very heavy though.

The Grin Goblin (Green Goblin/The Joker) – A mobster who fell in a vat of magic potion which gave him severe acne. To avoid being ridiculed by his peers, he wears an equally ugly mask of a goblin.

Dr. Octopussy (Dr. Octopus/Catwoman) – with 8 limbs and 9 lives, Dr. Octopussy is every man’s dream girl

I disagree with his opinion on Two Face and Venom I actually quite like those two characters…

Mental BatWoman

What Batwoman is this!?

I saw this strip and wanted to read the comic, but before I even got a chance to look up the source I noticed that somone had pointed out in the comments that it’s from an issue of Justice Leage (JLA #91) where Wonder Woman uses a machine to find out what would happen if she and batman were to have a kid. Apparently the rest of the issue is rubbish though…

I’d read a comic where the heroes were this mental… Actually I am reading a comic where the heroes are this mental as I’ve recently started reading “The Boys” arguably the “heroes” in the The Boys are more like villains…

Negative Space DC Characters

Purple and White: Two Face's Delight

These Art prints by “Airynuh” available over at Society 6 manage to capture the essence of these DC characters in just two colours on black, well for the most part, I think Wonder Woman needs a third colour (Blue in case you were wondering) none the less they are all absolutely gorgeous.

Orange and Green: Poison Ivy the Viny Queen
White and Red: Harley's Off in the Head
Purple and Green: Joker Mean Art Print
Green and White: Green Lantern's Light
Red and Yellow: Flash the Fast Fellow
Red and Gold: Wonder Woman Bold
